Who We Are

Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, Soroptimist International of Saddleback Valley is dedicated to making a lasting impact.  We are a global volunteer network of like-minded women working to create a world where women and girls have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

Our focus is on education because educated women and girls are:

  • less vulnerable to sex traffickers

  • more likely to leave a domestic violence situation and not return

  • able to access healthcare

  • less likely to live in poverty

  • able to raise stronger, healthier families

Local Empowerment

Feeling like there are countless pressing issues with no single solution making a marked difference? Soroptimist's are focusing on our two specific programs: The "Live Your Dream Awards®" and The "Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls®."

The community support has proven to be a powerful tool for Soroptimist International of Saddleback Valley to successfully serve women and girls and improve countless lives.

SI Saddleback Valley a Local Non-Profit Makes a Splash with Summer Fundraiser

August 2023

Last August we had incredible fun with fifty ladies at our "Paint and Sip" fundraiser with artist Geri Medway.  Geri's artwork is driven by her lifelong love and sense of awe for the natural world.  Her passion is painting light, in all its subtleties and complexities, and sharing her vision with others through her award-winning watercolor and oil paintings. Checkout Geri on facebook www.facebook.com/GeriMedway/FineArt/

Community Garage Sale is always a great FUN fundraiser for our club!

October  2023

We cleaned out our closets and garage while enjoying camaraderie with fellow volunteers. We started at 6:00 in the morning and were finished at 1:00.   The money raised is for our education and training awards for women.

Our Dedication and Service

Soroptimist International was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California at a time when women were not allowed to join organizations.  We have been proud to  watch how activities by clubs just like ours have benefited women and girls in local communities around the world

It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. Soroptimist International of Saddleback Valley is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and as a group of determined volunteers, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals.
